Baillie Cup – successful runners chosen
Well done to Lewis, Malik, Grace and Abi for being chosen to run the 600m. Well done to Richard V., Alastair, Isla, Laura and Maja for being chosen to run in the 150m sprint. Well done Nathan and Natalia for being chosen to run in the 80m sprint.

Swimming-we had a successful first trip to the swimming pool. Everyone was assessed and put into one of three groups. A big thank you to the parents who came with us. We had four adult helpers last week but there may only be two for this week, so if anyone else could come along it would be greatly appreciated (Friday 10:50-12:45). The most challenging time is at 12 o’clock when all the children are coming out the pool and going to get changed. It is very difficult to keep track of 32 children and also deal with any issues. If there are even any parents who have a little bit of time between 12 and 12:20 (who could arrive at the pool for this slot of time) then extra pairs of hands at this time would be particularly welcome.
POLISH HERITAGE DAY
The school is arranging a Polish Day on Monday 14th May (9:30-12). If there are any parents who could spare some time and come in to school and share something Polish with the children, could you get in touch please?
I’ve had a few queries regarding homework. The children have to do a personal project on both animals and plants. This means making a wee book or fact cards or PowerPoint presentation to share with others. It should have a title page or front cover, pages or slides should be numbered and there should be a list at the back with the names of websites or books you used to find information.
Try to do a page or a couple of slides per week but they don’t need to come into class until the project is finished. Weekly spelling and times tables will be given out as usual and tested in class once a week.
