Feis a’ Bhaile



9.30 – 4pm

£85 per child (£80 for siblings)

A jam packed week of music and activities for 8-18 year olds.  Come along and try 3 different instruments, from fiddle, accordion, drums, chanter, keyboard, whistle, harp, singing, drama, guitar and mandolin, plus art, shinty, dancing and group work – all taught by our fantastic team of tutors.

No previous musical experience is necessary and all abilities are catered for.  Bring your own instruments if you have them or we can lend you them for the week.

Judo has been enjoyed by many pupils this term. There will be no more Judo sessions until after the October holidays.

Primary 7 Skills Development Scotland Trip

Primary 7 will visit Skills Development Scotland on Wednesday 3rd October. We will be completing different workshops which aim to inspire interest in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The pupils voted for the workshops they would like to participate in, we are going to complete DIY Coding and 3D Art.

We will be leaving school at 10.10am and arrive back for 2.30pm. The children will need a packed lunch . If you require a canteen packed lunch please let me know before Friday 28th September so I can arrange this. If you are available to help on the trip please let me know. We would love a couple of parent volunteers to join us.

P7 ASG Sporting Event

On Monday 1st October Central pupils will join other Primary 7 pupils from our associated school group for a sporting event. This will be a great opportunity for pupils to begin to meet each other before moving onto secondary school.

The event will take place at Dalneigh Primary School. We will be walking to Dalneigh after registering in school and  the event will last all day. There may be a possibilty we will be back to school slightly later than 3pm.

The children will need:


Lunch (Packed lunches can be ordered from the canteen- please let Mrs Gibb know if you require one before Thursday 27th September)

Water Bottle

Appropriate Clothing

  • Tracksuit bottoms (pupils may come to school wearing this)
  • School Jumper
  • Trainers
  • Jacket

It will be a great day and opportunity to meet new friends. If there is rain forecast the event will be cancelled. We will be informed on Friday if it will need to be rearranged.
