TerraCycle project

We are partnering with TerraCycle to ensure that personal care and beauty products are recycled.

Garnier is committed to sustainable, environmentally-friendly beauty and have launched the Garnier Personal Care and Beauty Recycling Programme, which allows us to recycle all you beauty products.

The school that sends in the most accepted waste between the 25th of March 2019 and the 5th of July 2019 will receive a recycled playground makeover worth £10,000 (on top of points earned by the shipment weight).

TerraCycle will take into account all of the parcels that have been received at the warehouse between the 25th of March 2019 and the 5th of July 2019.

Therefore it is advised we send the last parcel no later than the 21st of June 2019.

The recycling box will be located in the school office.

Culloden Battlefield Trip

Primary 3 and Primary 5 both had a great day visiting Culloden Battlefield.

The trip really brought our learning in the class to life, and the children learned lots of interesting facts about the Jacobites and Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Primary 5 learned about some of the people who lived at the time, while Primary3 worked on storytelling with our fantastic guides.

Check back next week for some photos from our trip!

A huge thank you to our #LitterHeroes for keeping our playground tidy.

Together we can make a difference to our environment.

Scooter activity

All of our classes enjoyed taking part in activities using scooters as part of our Big Cycle challenge.

Check out these pictures of P1 having fun with scooters!

SUSTRANS The Big Pedal and Road Closure

road closure

On Friday we will be hosting the first road closure in Inverness as a part of the Sustrans ‘School Streets initiative.  It is aimed at encouraging active travel in the area, providing a safe space for school pupils and the local community to come together to celebrate being active!

The children are going to take part in a variety of activities (scooting; cycling; drawing; making smoothies and using playground equipment). Iain Thompson, iBike Officer, is going to run a Dr Bike session. Dr Bike will be able pump up tires, check  brakes and do simple repairs for FREE. He will also let you know if more major work is needed, helping you get back on two wheels.

The pupils will join the event at 9:30am till 3pm. All parents and neighbours are welcome! The children could bring their own bikes and scooters.
