P7 pupils have been learning about natural disasters. We have researched volcanoes and written reports on Mount Vesuivius. As part of our science investigation we created volcanoes and made them erupt yesterday. The teams had to estimate how much vinegar they thought it would take to cause the volcano to erupt. They worked together to collect materials, carry out the experiment and record their findings.
The pupils also learned they needed to include the following when writing a science procedure/investigation:
Once the reports have been completed we will post some on here for you to try to make your very own volcano eruption!
It was lots of fun 🙂
All of our primary classes took part in the ‘Big Read’ yesterday. We have submited our numbers to Ness Book Fest, we can’t wait to hear how many pupils took part in the Big Read.
Our school had 170 children participate with 20 minutes of reading yesterday. Here are a few photos of the children joining in.
