The Highland Council is inviting parents and carers to enrol their child online for primary 1 and ELC for this school year starting 17 August 2021.
If your child will be five years of age on or before 28 February 2022, they are eligible to enrol for primary 1.
Children born between 1 March 2017 and 28 February 2019 are entitled to a funded ELC place.
The primary 1 enrolment week for Highland schools is from Monday 25 January to Friday 29 January 2021. For ELC places, enrolment week will be Monday 8 February to Friday 12 February 2021.
To enrol your child, or for further information on completing the online form, the enrolment process, catchment areas, Gaelic Medium education, school transport and placing requests, please visit www.highland.gov.uk/enrol (external link).
Once you have enrolled your child online, the school will contact you to arrange the necessary induction for your child.
Please be aware that although you may wish your child to attend a school other than your local primary school, you must first enrol at your catchment area primary school and then make a placing request.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no face-to-face enrolment in schools this year. Parents who do not have access to the online enrolment process should contact their catchment school during enrolment week to request a paper copy of the enrolment form.
