Friday Update

Happy Friday everyone,

We finish another lovely and busy week at Central. Thankfully the weather was warmer by today šŸ˜Š

Easter Extravaganza
After having to postpone their enterprise from last week, P7 hosted a number of stalls today for the children as part of their P7 trip fund raising endeavours. Well done everyone, it was great to see all involved having a good time. There were a few superb entries for the Easter bonnet, prizes will go out next week.

We welcome Mrs Leakey and Mrs Nesbitt to our team this term on a part-time basis. They will both be working alongside our teachers with all children in small groups on maths and literacy.
Mr Mackenzie our music tutor returned this week. His work this term will include development of podcasts.
Mr Stirratt has started working with groups of children in the afternoons to develop team building skills and resilience.
Representatives from Active Play started working with pupils to develop outdoor play. They will continue with this throughout the term.

Buddies with nursery started this week. P6 met their buddies and they had a great first session playing together. Next week the children will organise tours of the main teaching building.
P7 have been given letters regarding their transition days to secondary school. They are all looking forward to this.

Central Two Centuries
The Engagement Team from Eden Court will resume working with the children next week as we begin to work towards a final production in June.
The children are working steadily to produce our living archive which will be shared with all towards to end of term.

Sports Day
We are planning to hold a sports day this year in June at the Northern Meeting Park. The date and time will be confirmed as soon as possible.

The Pines
A behaviour support Q and A session is being held on 12th May, details are attached.

Wishing you a lovely, restful long weekend.
We look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 3rd May.
Mrs Fraser
