The Queen’s Jubilee
We have had a wonderful week celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. To make the event memorable, we had an assembly where each class was able to perform a song or poem. We learned about the history of the Queen and her long reign. The children made some wonderful crowns, bunting and posters which added to the sense of celebrations and fun. Excellent work everyone! Delighted Mr Woolley our Parent council chair was able to join us. Everyone enjoyed the summer picnic and thankfully it really felt like summer as the sun shone!!
Sport’s Day will be held on Wednesday, 8th June at 09:30am at the Northern Meeting Park.
The races and potted sports will start after 9.30am and we aim to have a relaxed morning.
The races will begin with ELC and P1-3 and likely run until school break around 10.30. P4-7 will start their races after break.
Delighted to let you know we had a successful visit and lovely feedback about how we are doing at Central School. Our next task is to update our annual standards and quality Report and we are now confidently able to self evaluate as good in most areas. This is a fantastic achievement which we are really proud of. We thank our parents and partners for their input to the visit and for the positive feedback given.
Wishing everyone a really lovely Jubilee weekend.
We are looking forward to another exciting week ahead and especially to welcoming parents to Sports Day.
