Friday update

Happy Friday everyone!

We have all enjoyed this week.

It was especially lovely to have Sports Day and for families to be able to attend.  We hope you enjoyed it as well 😊

Levelling up Fund

A few children went to the Northern Meeting Park today to meet the UK Government minister from the Scottish Office as part of the Levelling Up project.

We are delighted to be involved, as one of the schools who use NMP, and look forward to the improvements that will be made over time.

We look forward to our visit to Eden Court on Thursday to see the RNSO.

The children will leave Central and walk across to Eden Court for 10.00 am.

The performance lasts approximately 45 minutes so we will have break on return to school about 11am.

Mrs Cameron returns from maternity leave on Monday and will be working with P4-P7 until the end of term to cover non-contact time for the class teachers.

P7 are looking forward to their mixing morning at Inverness High School next Friday, followed by their transition days the following week.

End of year reports

The team are finalising the end of year reports for the children which we will send home week beginning 20th June.

Central Two Centuries

The preparations for our final event of the project on 23rd June are well underway.

I can now confirm we have arrangements to leave Central School at 12.30 to walk to Eden Court as part of the celebrations.

Parents are welcome to join us for the walk over.

Arrival at Eden Court should be 12.45 approx.

The event consists of an exhibition and entertainment and we will be finished around 2.30 – 2.45.

It is anticipated most families will wish to leave from Eden Court, so class teachers will be seeking end of day information over the next week.

Remember to check google classroom and class blogs for what else has been happening in school.

Wishing you a lovely, restful weekend,

Mrs Fraser
