Transition to P1

Nursery pupils have started their transition to P1. This week they explored the P1 area and joined in learning with our current P1s. The transition focus for this term is Literacy. We will publish various phonological awareness activities to try at home which will help to build foundations for learning to read.

Parent Council

The Parent Council have an important role to play in school improvement by ensuring that parental perspective is represented and taken into account. The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward.

We would like to encourage more parents to become involved in the wider life of our school and join our existing parent council members.

Heritage Project

On Thursday pupils from P7 went to the Northern Meeting Park to discuss ideas for interpreting the history of the Park for local people and visitors.

If you would like to share your thoughts, please complete a community heritage/interpretation feedback form.

Home School Partnership Learning

Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 will take place from 6th-12th February 2023.  The theme for Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 is ‘Let’s Connect’.  This theme encourages children to explore how they can cultivate meaningful connections in their lives to support their mental health and wellbeing. Connecting healthily with others is a key part of living a fulfilling life and feeling loved, cared for and safe.

Use the link below to explore a few simple ways you can connect with your child and help them to make meaningful connections.

Have a lovely restful weekend!
