What a wonderful first week back we have had in P1/2!
The children have come back full of enthusiasm and ready to learn!
Term 2 homework will be given out next week and once again I would encourage you to try and do what you can. There will be a grid of activities that I would like you try at home and I would ask that you try and read every day.
Last terms topic ‘All about me’ was such a success I’d like to thank you all for taking the time to find photographs and encouraging your child to talk about themselves and their families, it was a pleasure to read and hear all about you all.
We are very much looking forward to all the exciting things this term will bring.
P6 are delighted to be back at school. This term we will be continuing our ”Around the World” topic. The children are excited about starting swimming!

Today in P1/2 we learned about Pop Art and the famous artist Andy Warhol! We had a go at making pop art Halloween pictures using vibrant colours and patterns and not leaving any bit of the page uncoloured!! The children did a fabulous job and we showed them off and judged them on whose was the most colourful and Sofia and Jacob won! We also introduced our spelling words and had a go at ‘look, write, cover’! The children assessed each others work and were very fair in their praise. The spelling words will be in their termly homework which will go out tomorrow!
P1 had a packed week after returning from the October Holidays. We made Witches faces for Halloween. They are very scary. We hope to display these in the school hall for the Halloween disco. We have also been very busy preparing a presentation on Firework Safety on Monday 30th October 2017 for the whole school at our Welcome Assembly.
Welcome back to Term 2. This term we will be continuing our Ancient Greek topic. This week we have been writing our names in Greek and will be studying Greek gods next week. P5 are full of enthusiasm and excited about the term ahead.
All of us in Primary 3 are enjoying getting back into the school routine, and we are ready for a busy term.
Our class topic is The Romans, and we are looking forward to learning about who they were and what they did.
