School Uniform

Pupils from P1-7 should wear school uniform.

The benefits of wearing full school uniform help all our pupils look smart and feel comfortable and at the same time they have a strong sense of identity as a Central pupil.  We feel this is an important aspect of school life and promote the wearing of full uniform at all times.

Our uniform consists of:

  • Gold polo shirt or white shirt and tie if preferred
  • Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan
  • Dark grey or black trousers or skirts, pinafores, school dresses
  • Sensible and comfortable dark shoes/boots
  • Black gym shoes/plimsolls for indoors

Children should also bring in a PE kit which should consist of:

  • T–shirt,
  • shorts or leggings
  • gym shoes that fasten securely

We have some second hand uniform available> Please see Miss Macleod.

Uniform is available from

Early years pupils should come to the Early years Centre in comfortable clothing and footwear.  The children go outside every day and need to be dressed appropriately for the weather.

Please ensure all items of clothing have your child’s name written on it.  This promotes independence at the early level and saves a lot of learning time when children enter the primary stages of school.  In our experience what works best and lasts the longest is woven labels sewn onto clothes and names written in biro pen on the label where the washing instructions are.  A few minutes to do this can save us a lot of learning time and you money.
